About

SPARKk is one high school student and a group of volunteers.

Not a team of twelve. Not a startup with a floor of engineers. Saying so up front seems better than letting anyone find out later.

Who runs this

Written by the person who built it.

I'm a junior at North Penn High School in Pennsylvania. I write the code, run the classes, and answer the support email. When something breaks, it's me.

The volunteers who teach for the Initiative are other high school students — real people giving up Saturday mornings, not an org chart. They plan lessons, run rooms, and cover branches I can't get to.

SPARKk the company builds software. The SPARKk Initiative, a separate 501(c)(3), teaches in libraries for free. Keeping the two clearly apart matters, legally and honestly, so the site keeps them apart too.

If you're a reporter, a librarian, or a program director and you want to check any of this — please do. Email me and I'll answer.
